Ann will be managing field inspection services for the Division and assisting in the implementation of the Division's strategic initiatives.  Please welcome Ann to this new position in the Building Code Division.

Individual and Quarterly Permits

It is important to know the differences between an Individual and Quarterly Permit.
Section 1300.0120 of the State Building Code (SBC) requires individual permits for projects to construct, alter repair, move, demolish or change the occupancy of a building or structure or to install, alter, repair or replace gas, mechanical, electrical, plumbing system or other equipment regulated by the code.  In lieu of an individual permit for repairs, replacements and minor alterations to a building, structure or electrical, gas, mechanical, or plumbing installations, the building official may issue a Quarterly Permit.  Click here to read all the details.  PDF 92 KB
